The Constellations Web Page Since 1996 Now in our tenth year Welcome! Here you'll find:

Information on all 88 constellations --- the myths and the facts. A Binocular (and Naked Eye) Tour of the Stars. Drawn orbits of many binary stars. New star charts for all constellations.

It's your choice:

The Constellations Web Page. All kinds of information relating to the 88 constellations. First the Greek myths of each constellation (or rather, of those constellations which have a myth). Then lots of data on many of the stars themselves, such as their visual magnitude, distance, and so on. Newly-made star charts, which now show the curvature of the sky as well as an accurate picture of all neighbouring stars. These charts are similar to those found in the printed version of this web site. Finally, interesting items for study, such as binaries or variable stars, or deep sky objects. You can obtain your own printed copy of The Constellations Web Page -- The Constellations Pocket Guide Now in two versions, the traditional ‘desk’ edition (pictured here) or the special ‘Field Edition’, spiral bound for outdoor use. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, we promise that each order will be filled the same day it is received and that orders received weekdays before two p.m. ET will be shipped the same day. The Binocular (and Naked Eye) Tour of the Stars. You'll find how to locate any of the current season's constellations, learning how to find the principal stars with the naked eye. Those with binoculars are taught how to find many interesting objects suitable for binocular study, such as star clusters or wide binaries. The tour features over 300 views as seen through binoculars, so you know you're looking at the right object. [All pages of this web site can be conveniently reviewed from The Main Menu.] The files are becoming very numerous and it is getting more difficult to track down broken links or other errors.
