Epsilon Engineering Ltd was formed
in 1989 by Graeme Leno.
Graeme comes from a food production background with Cadbury Schweppes PLC after completing
post graduate studies at Cambridge University.
He started the company after recognising a need for professional help in UK ‘factory led’
projects where the capital expenditure did not warrant (or did not interest!) major UK
Engineering Contracting companies.
The service offered is therefore very personal, with good communication and correct
and honest advice to the customer.
The company has undertaken a variety of projects in robotics automation technology,
development work on applied vibration and in powder handling, and manufacture of
semi-automatic and fully automatic pre-glued sleeve erectors and loaders for the chilled food sector.
Robotics automation technology.
The drive for reducing UK manufacturing costs has increased the demand for robotics automation technology
projects and this is now the main focus for Epsilon Engineering Ltd in 2006 and beyond.
A number of robotics automation technology projects have been successfully completed in the Midlands and in Kent using ABB 640, 4400 and 340 robots and Kawasaki ZD130 robots. These have been for pick and place, carton loading and palletising applications in the UK confectionery and plasterboard industries.
All robotics automation technology cells are built up and tested for customer acceptance in Sittingbourne, Kent prior to installation and final commissioning at the customers premises. All mechanical design work is completed using 3D solid modelling with Solidworks 2006 software.
All electrical design work is undertaken using RS Wire.
